"My name is Gabriel Benevich. I live in San Diego and I love to skate everyday. When I’m not skating, I’m usually doing some kind of art and listening to music."

Q-When did you first start skateboarding and what would you say got you
hooked on skating?

"I started skateboarding in 2000. I was living in San Francisco at the time, and friend of mine influenced me to skate."

Q- What was your first board set up?
|
"Consolidated, indy’s, think wheels, and lucky bearings."

Q- How has skateboarding influenced your life?
|
"Skateboarding is a blessing. When times are hard, I can always pick up my skateboard. I can always rely on skateboarding to ease my stress."

Q- What is your current set up?
|
"silent, indy's, satori’s, reflex bearings"

Q- What was your most memorable session?
|
"My most memorable session took place in downtown San Diego. Some friends and I skated around downtown until 2:30 a.m.. After that, we went home to get some much needed sleep."

Q- What's your favorite trick and what trick are you trying to learn now?

"My two favorite tricks are kickflip and front board. I’m trying to learn nollie heel nosegrind and fakie 5-0 fakie flip out."

|
"Buttery ledges and unusual spots that haven’t been skated before."

Q: Who & what is motivating and pushing you at the moment?

"My family and Silent skateboards constantly motivate me to skate and have fun."
